Last year, I made up my mind that I wanted to find my soul mate online. I had avoided taking this drastic measure for several years but it seemed like everyone I know, including friends and co-workers, are signing on, creating profiles, and finding that special someone online.  If they can make it happen, why can’t I?

Searching for the Right Notes

Life and the notes on a sheet of music are both similarly rhythmic.  The people themselves may change but at some stage you want to hear the full orchestra together.  I knew that when I could find that special someone, the missing notes in my life would be found.  A soul mate adds to life’s rhythm in an enduring manner.

Since I was new to the world of internet dating, in my initial searches for a soulmate, I was wary of revealing too much information about myself. I did not know what people would be interested in or how much I should actually reveal. I searched for success stories of other users so as to find an effective solution and plan for these problems. The outcome of the search was hugely inspirational.

Furthering my search for my soul mate caused me to stumble upon Mark’s story. Mark was still in college when he met H2O. His friends and he were surfing the internet when a banner for an online dating site popped up. As a joke they decided to explore the site.

As the night progressed further Mark and his friends made a bet. If he could get a date within one month on the internet dating site they would wash his athletic gear for a year. Mark decided to take them up on their offer.

Mark created his profile and chatted with women, not wanting any issues later on he told them about the bet and his purpose for being online, most of whom found it all very offending.

As the end of the month drew nearer Mark’s hopes for success grew fainter. It looked like he was going to be stuck washing not only his gear but that of all his friends for the next whole year to come.

Mark came across anattention-grabbing profile just two days before the end of the month. He emailed her and they chatted for the entire night. H2O was from a nearby town so they decided to meet at a local movie theatre. The bet seemed irrelevant to her. “She has a great sense of humor,” says Mark. “Within 6 months of having started dating we knew we never wanted to be without each other. Now we are engaged and to be married in 2010.”

While trying to find love I was led to great success stories, but it also showed me the problems you can face if you are not careful. Mad4You met a man online who matched nearly every single criteria laid down, so much so that she found it almost unbelievable .” “After just a few chats, I was very attracted” says Mad4You. However, a problem that she did not expect was to arise. A person who says they are divorced from a previous spouse may not be telling the whole truth. He may married now.!”

I was also surprised at the number of single parents looking for love online. Many singles reported that they had found great matches with other single parents. Ensure the compatibility of your kids, when looking for true love !

Yellowtutu discovered just the kind of man she’s always been looking for on an internet dating site. She was a single mother to 3 teenaged kids. She connected with Digthis who had 2 sons form a previous marriage. She informed her children about him after having communicated with him for many months.

On the first date Yellowtutu’s eldest daughter fell head over heels for Digthis’s younger son. The attraction was mutual and they met secretly for over a year without letting their parents know. The kids told their story when Yellowtutu and Digthis decided that they’re relationship wasn’t working out.
